The Brooklyn rapper is notoriously know for witty punchlines and making timeless classics that has helped pass the torch of Hip-Hop to the next generation. Sampling Slum Village’s 2004 single Selfish, Fab pens what seems to be a personal journal entry.
In the video Fab reminisces over memories of his past as he motions solo through a night in the life of. He speaks of one sided stories, overly extending himself and private moments that should have never gone public. The phrase “The Family” is displayed throughout the video, however Fabolous is the only one featured. Full of prophetic -isms, the Selfish freestyle was more than just no hook and all bars.
