GOOD Music’s President and front runner Pusha T, released his third studio album, DAYTONA, May 25, 2018.
The album’s first song, Inafred, took direct shots at the Young Money camp. More specifically, Drake and Bryan “Birdman” Williams. The long standing feud between the camps was refueled with DAYTONA’s release.
Push revisits Drake’s writing companion Quentin Miller, Birdman’s draining of artists, and his responsibility to rebirth rap. Drizzy didn’t take too kindly to the shots. In response, he released “Duppy Freestyle” and “I’m Upset.” In the response records Drake attacks Pusha’s career, Kanye West, mentions his fiancé, and refutes his claims of kingpin level drug dealing.
Drake urges “Don’t push me when I’m in album mode,” and Push does just that. After letting the 6 God’s tracks linger, he drops “The Story of Adidon.” Pandora’s box is opened as Pusha T airs sketchy business over Jay Z’s “The Story of OJ.” Alledging that Drake has a secret child by an Adult film star. He also shreds his character and drags Dennis Graham (Drake’s father) into the beef.
