At long last Hip-Hop lovers can rejoice again. Lil Wayne’s extremely anticipated 12th studio album, Tha Carter V, is on its way. Earlier this year Wayne won his drawn out lawsuit against Birdamn, CEO of Cash Money records, and long standing mentor to Weezy. He also won sole-ownership of Cash Money’s subsidiary, Young Money.
The news sent fans and social media into an uproar. Somehow word was buzzing that Tha Carter V was to be released on Sept. 21. Contrary to popular gossip, that was NOT the case. However, Wayne has just gifted all of his fans with great news.
Tha Carter V is being released this Friday, Sept. 28, Lil Wayne’s birthday. Dropping the same day as Kanye West and Logic. Many years have come and gone since we were able to consume a full Weezy album. So, this Friday, let us all join hands and sing out in unison WEEZY F BABY and the F is FINALLY getting Tha Carter V.
