Usually when a relationship or situationship has ended, it’s usually the ladies calling for closure. Not this time.
Mahalia is an actress, singer, and songwriter hailing all the way from the U.K. who has been breaking her way into the U.S. music scene. She’s been writing music since the age of eight and acted in a UK based movie, Brotherhood. The singer has released a few EPs featuring production from frequent collaborator to Drake, Nineteen85.
“I Wish I Missed My Ex” is a breezy walk in the park. The cheerful beat negates the heartbreak associated with ending relationships. Mahalia beats her counterpart to the punch of falling out of love faster:
“Every time the weekend comes, yeah
I know that it won’t be long, yeah
Til you‘re gonna call my phone, yeah
You’ll be like ‘Babe, come over’
I know how this goes, yeah
Talk about you need closure
Too many missed calls, too many texts
Damn I wish I missed my ex“
