Philly-bred singer-songwriter Gogo Morrow has arrived.
Daunting her signature blue hair Gogo, whose real name is Jasmine, sings of a twisted love. A long time coming, I.O.U. is her debut single after signing a major label deal. Working tenaciously as a background singer for Lady Gaga, Wiz Khalifa, and Kanye’s Sunday Service Choir prepared Gogo for the stardom that is sure to come.
The record was produced by Harmony “H-Money” Samuels; He’s created for the likes of Brandy, Chris Brown, Keyshia Cole, Ariana Grande, Mary J. Blige, Fantasia, and Ciara to name a few. In an interview with AllHipHop.com, Gogo shares her odyssey to releasing the single and her working relationship with Harmony. Her velvety vocals take you on a journey by way of words. I.O.U. is a message to an old lover, whom she has unfinished business with. The single follows her BET Awards performance of “In The Way,” a song that she says helped her heal.
