Rozay, Rozay, Rozay

I was told that if you say his name three times, Rick Ross will appear and say UH! and leave….sikeee.

Rick Ross recently revealed the cover of the sequel to his critically acclaimed album: Port of Miami.

The internet went up in excitement. Now that Ross has us all on edge, he’s feeding us bits and bits of greatness.

Act a Fool is Ross’s latest single. He taps the shoulder of artist and confidant, Wale. The track sounds like MMG from 2009/2010. When the entire group was dropping compilation albums and killing each other’s features. They’re bringing that feeling back and I can’t wait to hear POM2!

Lloyd is in the Mood for Some "Caramel"

Young Lloyd is back and bearing it all, literally.

Caramel is the first single from his long awaited LP “Tru.” When he returned in 2016 from his musical hiatus, Lloyd released the Tru EP, that featured songs from Rick Ross and 2 Chainz and the namesake of the project. Tru provided an in depth look into where he’s been and what he’s been doing apart from music. He tells a tale of overcoming obstacles and becoming the man that he currently is. The hypnotizing guitar strums provide an extra layer of feeling to help get his soulful message across. Watch Tru below.

This time around the Atlanta native is giving us something to bounce to. Caramel is a smooth cut about a nice young lady that Lloyd is anticipating having in his grips. The single is apart of the pre-release of the Tru LPThe artwork for the LP is striking. Lloyd stands in nature naked, with a guitar at the base of his loins. Perhaps expressing its importance and his oneness with the instrument.

After being convicted of violating probation (on shaky terms), Meek Mill is back. First with the release of his powerful single, Stay Woke featuring Miguel. Mill debuted the song at the 2018 BET Awards with a moving performance. It depicted the rough streets of Philadelphia, where Meek grew up. You can watch the performance by clicking the link above.
Since being home Meek has previewed beats and snippets via his Instagram page. Legends of the Summer, is another four piece combo Meek knock us out with. Each song distinctively different, he has a cut for the ladies, something for the club,  something for the streets, and a thought provoking peace meant to encourage change. Check it out below.

Last but not least, Philly’s cousin, Dave East, has dropped as well; TWICE. The Harlem rapper is known for his cleverly aligned freestyles and he does not disappoint. “I’m Good Cuz, Enjoy,” is a play on rapper Future’s latest social media debacle. Where he told an Instagram model “I’m good luv, enjoy” over text as she sat in her hotel room waiting for him. Instead of ending things with a woman, East is firing off shots at a peer. WHO, you ask?

Check it out above and let me know who to point the finger at in the comments.
East also collaborated with none other than Rick Ross on their new single, “Fresh Prince of Belaire.” The two rappers both have endorsement deals with the popular Rose brand. So why not combine forces and get more money. Am I right?
Listen to “Fresh Prince of Belaire” below and enjoy this Friday Frenzy of new music.

Mixtape Weezy, Welcome Home!

As we all know Lil Wayne has been on a musical hiatus. All due to the fact that, Birdman mis-managed his contract. The Cash Money co-founder would not allow our beloved Weezy to release another installment of his famed Dedication Series Mixtapes. A movement called #FreeWeezy had been started to raise awareness of Wayne’s plight with the label. Even Rick Ross mentioned the touchy subject on his latest album, Rather You Than Me.
Now it is time for his return. The self and critically-acclaimed “Best Rapper Alive” is finally releasing Dedication 6 on Christmas! Until then, he’s prematurely gifted us with two songs from the tape.
