Over the past few years, we’ve heard rumors of a Bad Boys sequel. This time things are looking a bit more concrete.
While wishing his long time cast mate a happy birthday, Will Smith publicly asked Martin Lawrence to do a sequel to the hit film franchise. To which he replied “Let’s do it again for sure.”

Bad Boys for life will follow Lawrence (Marcus Burnett) and Smith (Mike Lowery) in their separation. We find Lowery, known for his smooth, player ways, in the middle of a midlife crisis. He wants to hang up his jersey and settle down. While Burnett serves as a private investigator. The two are brought back together when a hit is put on their heads for the murder of a criminal’s brother. In order to take the Albanian mercenary down, they must rejoin forces.
Sony pictures has confirmed that Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (Snowfall) would be directing. Originally set to release in 2017, Bad Boys for Life should hit theaters January of 2020.
